MEET THE BAND MEMBERS

Steve and Pam

Steve and Pam Dennie were part of the original core group that got Anchor going. From Day One, Steve has played keyboard in the Anchor worship team.

Steve, a preacher's kid, has played the piano in church since he was in junior high. He grew up playing hymns at the piano, with his mother playing the organ (he actually taught her how to play the organ).

But becoming part of a worship team was somewhat revolutionary for him. He discovered that, at heart, he's a rock & roll keyboardist. That's what he most enjoys playing, and that's what comes most naturally to him.

Steve plays a Roland RD-600 full keyboard, with a second rack holding an Alesis QS 6.1 short keyboard. He also uses an Alesis QSR sound module. Lots of sounds to play with. And if the keyboard doesn't fit a particular song, he make pick up a tambourine or shakers. And he's also learning the accordion.

Since Pam came early to church with Steve each Sunday, she started helping with the sound. She now runs the sound, prepares the PowerPoint slides for the song package, and runs all the media and sound during worship services.
